SYDNEY (Yosefardi) – Gulf Minerals Corporation Limited will develop manganese smelters in Kupang, West Timor to support the success of National down stream industry.

The company will produce premium quality 78% ferro manganese alloy. 8 furnace complex will be built in four stages over four years.

The project will cost US$52 million. Local Indonesian group, PT SNC-Lavalin TPS, is assigned to design and construct the furnaces.

Annual ore requirements reach 260,000 ton supplied by PT Century Metal Indo and 100,000 ton will be imported by IMC Ores and Alloys.
