JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security Affairs Admiral (ret) Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno assured the government will soon execute two Australian drug smugglers on death row, Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan, should the legal process on the two convicts known as the Bali Nine members be completed.

Tedjo said President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has ruled out to grant clemency for Myuran Sukumaran. While the decision over the clemency proposed by Andrew Chan is in the process.

Sukumaran and Chan were arrested when they tried to smuggle 8.3 kilograms heroin worth US$4 million from Indonesia to Australia. Both of them were sentenced to death back in 2006.

Jokowi’s administration has declared a war against the drug dealers through its firm action on executing drug dealers sentenced to death.
