JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The central government continues its preparation as the host of the 2018 Asian Games with a plan to launch the groundbreaking of the development of athlete dormitories in Kemayoran (Jakarta) and Jakabaring (South Sumatra) in March 2016.
According to Minister of Public Works & Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, government will build 15 towers of the athlete dormitory worth Rp3 trillion in Kemayoran.
The construction development, Basuki said, will be handled by the PUPR Ministry altogether with the state public housing operator PT Perumnas.
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, on Monday (Jan. 11) led the cabinet meeting, in which the President ordered related cabinet members to accelerate their works of preparing the country as the host of the 2018 Asian Games and the 2017 MotoGP. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
