JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The government of Indonesia allocates Rp12.5 trillion to Rp15 Trillion for funding the 900 km road construction project in Trans-Papua by 2018.

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) said the project will connect Sorong, Manokwari, Nabire, Jayapura, and Merauke. For this year, the government allocates Rp4 trillion for infrastructure project in Papua and Rp6 trillion for West Papua.

The government also supports the expansion of 10,000 hectares of rice fields in Papua by building long storage for water.
