JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The election results was said inline with the market expectation in general as it ran smoothly. Finance minister Chatib Basri said the peace election reflects the political stability, such a good environment for investment.
BI governor Agus Martowardojo expects the Indonesian economy will become solid if the new government and legislative member have capability in reforming all aspects of the economic structure.
He said with over 240 million population, the economy resilience must be lifted to higher level and the structural reform of the economy is needed in building the sustainability growth of the economy.
The economy, Agus noted, should not rely too much on import as it would only turn the economy to overheating.
While minister for industry MS Hidayat demands the new government and parliament member to bravely skip the fuel subsidy for the sake of better economic landscape.
He also hopes the new government to support the industry sector by reducing the unemployment through expanding the labor-intensive industry.
