JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Golkar Party is expected to hold its chairmanship congress (munas) in January 2015 to elect new party chairman replacing Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie.
The decision was taken by Golkar leaders in a meeting conducted by Golkar Party’s central executive board (DPP), Thursday (Nov 13) night.
Eight candidates of Golkar Chairman, including incumbent Ical Bakrie, have declared to run in casino the chairmanship congress.
Seven other candidates are Agung Laksono, MS Hidayat, Priyo Budi Santoso, Hajriyanto Thohari, Airlangga Hartarto, Zainuddin Amali, and Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
Prior to the chairmanship congress, Golkar will hold its national leadership meeting (rapimnas) in Yogyakarta on Nov. 17-18, 2014. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
