JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has on Monday (September 22) reexamined Police Brig. Gen. Didik Purnomo, former Deputy Chief of National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas), as suspect in the graft case related to the procurement of police’s driving simulators.
The Monday’s questioning is the third examination for the police general.
Didik, actually, had been named as suspect in the case since August 1, 2012, along with three other suspects. They are former Korlantas Chief Police General Djoko Susilo, President Director of PT Citra Mandiri Metalindo Abadi (PT CMMA) Budi Susanto and President Director of PT Inovasi Teknologi Indonesia (PT ITI) Sukoco S Bambang.
KPK had charged Didik with Article 2 Paragraph and Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law juncto Article 55 and Article 56 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) for his role as the so-called PPK (a Committing Officer) that is responsible for the conduct of the procurement of police’s driving simulators.
Djoko Susilo, meanwhile, had been sentenced to 18 years in jail. Budi Susanto and Sukoco S Bambang, meanwhile, have been sentenced to 8 and 3.8 years respectively. Sukoco, however, had been released from jail on parole early this year after serving his prison sentence. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
