JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Emirsyah Satar, CEO of flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, is among five or six candidates to replace Muhammad Chatib Basri as chief of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

MS Hidayat, minister of industry affairs, is quoted by Detik.com this morning saying there are five to six candidates being reviewed to replace Chatib, who has been sworn in as new minister of finance.

“Emirsyah Satar is among them,” Hidayat, a politician from Golkar Party said.

Candidates, according to Hidayat, came from various backgrounds, including economists, business people, and CEO of state-owned companies.
