JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – As the Finance Ministry has issued regulation number 153/PMK.011/2014 regarding customs exit for mineral ores export, Freeport Indonesia could resume export of its mineral ores on Wednesday (August 6).

Freeport is allowed to resume mineral ores export as it has satisfied the criteria and requirement ruled by the government of Indonesia.

The government imposes 7.5% custom exit to miners that have made a 7.5% progress for the smelter establishment, 5% custom exit imposed to miners with 7.5%-30% progress on smelter, and imposed no custom exit to miners that have done over 30% progress of smelter construction.

For miners without smelter project plan, the government imposes 20-60% custom exit forĀ  next 3 years.
