JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Taiwan-based manufacturer for IT and phone cellular, Foxconn Technology Co Ltd has partnered with property group Agung Sedayu Group for building its business in Indonesia.
MS Hidayat, Industry Minister, said Foxconn will formally announce the cooperation with Agung Sedayu within next 1-2 months.
Foxconn plans to produce tablet and cellular phone in the first phase.
In 2012, Indonesia imported 50-60 million units of cellular phones, expected to increase to 70 million this year or US$5 billion in value.
Foxconn will reportedly invest US$5-10 billion in Indonesia.
