JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 789,600 in March 2015, up 3.13% from 765,600 in March 2014. Compared to February 2015, the figure increased 0.37%.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in March 2015 amounted 294,800 tourists, grew by 9.8% from 268,400 tourists in March 2014. Compared with February 2015, the number dropped 11.5%.
Year to date, foreign tourists visiting Indonesia totaled 2.30 million tourists, grew by 3.51% from 2.2 million in the same period of 2014.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 49.13% in March 2015, down 2.16 points compared to March 2014 (51.29%). Compared to February 2015, the figure increased 1.54 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.96 days in March 2015, flat compared to March 2014.
