JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 717,784 tourists in July 2013, increased 2.37% from Rp701,200 in July 2012. Compared to June 2013, the figure declined 9.09%. Foregn investors visited Indonesia in June totaled 789,594.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport in July 2013, amounted 297,723 tourists, grew by 9.71% from 271,371 in July 2012. Compared with June 2013, the number rose 8.09%.
The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 188,800 tourists in July 2013, declined 0.8% from 190,320 in July 2012. Compared with June 2013, the figure dropped 10.57%.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 23 provinces reached an average number of 51,20% in July 2013, fell 1.12 points compared to July 2012 (52.32%). Compared to June 2013, the number declined 5.60 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 2.06 days in July 2013, increased 0.01 days compared to July 2012, rose 0.14 days from June 2013. (yohanneso@yosefardi.biz)
