JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 869,200 in September 2015, grew 9.84% from 791,300 in September 2014. Compared to August 2015, the figure rose 2.19%%.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in September 2015 amounted 379,400 tourists, rose 7.78% from 352,000 tourists in September 2014. Compared with August 2015, the number declined 27.04%.
In January-September 2015 period, foreign tourists visiting Indonesia totaled 7.19 million tourists, grew by 3.58% from 6.95 million in the same period of 2014.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 56.26% in September 2015, up 2.05 points compared to September 2014 (54.21%). Compared to Augustus 2015, the figure was up 0.65 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.96 days in September 2015, down 0.06 points compared to September 2014.
