JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 851,475 tourists in June 2014, grew by 7.83% from 789,594 in June 2013. Compared to May 2014, the figure increased 13.17%. Foreign investors visited Indonesia in May 2014 totaled 752,363.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in June 2014 amounted 329,654 tourists, jumped 19.68% from 275,452 in June 2013. Compared with May 2014, the number climbed 15.28%.
The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 208,624 tourists in June 2014, down 1.18% from 211,118 in June 2013. Compared with May 2014, the figure rose 13.05%.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 55.40% in June 2014, down 1.18 points compared to June 2013 (56.58%). Compared to May 2014 (52.72%), the number was up 2.68% points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.86 days in June 2014, down 0.05 points compared to June 2013, and down 0.13 days from May 2014.
