JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 752,363 tourists in May 2014, grew by 7.37% from 700,708 in May 2013. Compared to April 2014, the figure increased 3.58%. Foreign investors visited Indonesia in April 2014 totaled 726,737.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in May 2014 amounted 285,965 tourists, jumped 16.78% from 244,874 in May 2013. Compared with April 2014, the number up 2.89%.
The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 184,534 tourists in May 2014, up 2.67% from 179,737 in May 2013. Compared with April 2014, the figure increased 2.07%.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 52.72% in May 2014, down 0.62 points compared to May 2013 (53.34%). Compared to April 2014 (51.33%), the number up 1.39 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.99 days in May 2014, up 0.12 points compared to May 2013, and down 0.07 days from April 2014.
