JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 826,821 tourists in August 2014, grew by 7.24% from 771,009 in August 2013. Compared to July 2014, the figure increased 6.38%. Foreign investors visited Indonesia in July 2014 totaled 777,210.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in August 2014 amounted 336,628 tourists, rose 8.92% from 309,051 in August 2013. Compared with July 2014, the number fell 6.21%.
The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 218,903 tourists in August 2014, jumped 15.91% from 188,854 tourists in August 2013. Compared with July 2014, the figure jumped 29.43%.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 55.12% in August 2014, up 1.83 points compared to August 2013 (50.19%). Compared to July 2014 (49.09%), the number was up 2.93% points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 2.01 days in August 2014, up 0.07 points compared to August 2013, and down 0.09 days from July 2014.
