JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 702,666 tourists in February 2014, grew by 3.57% from 678,415 in February 2013. Compared to January 2014, the figure declined 6.69%. Foreign investors visited Indonesia in January 2014 totaled 753,079.

Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in February 2014 amounted 269,367 tourists, rose 13.67% from 236,971 in February 2013. Compared with January 2014, the number fell 3.61%.

The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 180,362 tourists in February 2013, inched down 0.05% from 180,453 in February 2013. Compared with January 2014, the figure declined 3.61%.

The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 48.81% in February 2014, increased 0.04 points compared to February 2013 (48.77%). Compared to January 2013 (46.98%), the number rose 1.83 points.

Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.95 days in February 2014, increased 0.05 points days from February 2013, also down 0.17 days from January 2014.
