JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 770,878 tourists in September 2013, grew by 12.77% from 683,584 in September 2012. Compared to August 2013, the figure inched down 0.02%. Foreign investors visited Indonesia in August totaled 771,009.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport in September 2013, amounted 305,429 tourists, grew by 19.44% from 255,717 in September 2012. Compared with August 2013, the number declined 1.17%.
The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 201,336 tourists in September 2013, increased 10.49% from 182,214 in September 2012. Compared with August 2013, the figure rose 6.61%.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 23 provinces reached an average number of 54.11% in September 2013, increased 1.27 points compared to September 2012 (52.84). Compared to August 2013, the number declined 3.58 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.90 days in September 2013, declined 0.14 days from September 2012, also down 0.05 days from August 2013. (yohanneso@yosefardi.biz)
