JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 786,700 in February 2015, grew by 11.95% from 702,700 in February 2014. Compared to January 2015, the figure rose 8.8%.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in February 2015 amounted 333,100 tourists, grew by 23.65% from 269,400 tourists in February 2014. Compared with January 2015, the number rose 15.35%.
Year to date, foreign tourists visiting Indonesia totaled 1.51 million tourists, grew by 3.71% from 1.46 million in the same period of 2014.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 47.59% in February 2015, up 1.22 points compared to February 2014 (48.81%). Compared to January 2015, the figure increased 0.51 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.98 days in February 2015, inched up 0.03 points compared to February 2014.
