JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign investors recorded net sell of Indonesian stocks worth Rp804 billion in the week ended October 18, 2013, expanded from Rp303 billion in the previous week.
Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), however, gained 0.59% in the week to close at 4546 on Friday (October 18). Basic industry, mining, and property led with more than 2.7% gain respectively. Agriculture, consumer goods, and finance, on the other hand, slipped in the week.
Three Bakrie-related stocks dominated the trading in the week. They are Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS), Energi Mega Persada (ENRG), and Visi Media Asia (VIVA).
Blue chip, however, led trading by value of transaction. Bank Mandiri topped the trading value with Rp1.23 trillion, while BCA and Astra International at Rp1.1 trillion and Rp782 billion respectively.
