JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Social minister Salif Segaf Al Jufri reported 15 people were killed by flash floods hit North Sulawesi area, and 40,000 people were fleeing to other places.
The areas hit by flash floods are Manado, Minahasa, South Minahasa, and North Bolaang Mangondow.
The floods also broke down some bridges and cut road access between Manado and Tomohon due to massive landslides.
The flash floods have ever occurred in 2000 killing 22 people and in 2013 killing 17 people.
