JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Export of jewelries and diamonds jumped 121.75% to US$431.9 million (fright on board/FOB) in August 2015, from US$194.8 million in July 2015.
For January-August 2015 period, export of this products rose 28.1% to US$4.06 billion from US$3.17 billion in the same period of 2014.
Export of jewelries and diamonds contributed 4.53% to total export of non oil and gas (US$89.59 billion) for January-July 2015 period.
Meanwhile import of jewelries and diamond fell 63.1% to US$77 million in August 2015, from US$208.7 million in July 2015.
But for January-August 2015 period, the figure soared 461% to US$325.4 million, from US$58 million in January-August 2014 period.
However, this goods only contributed 0.41% to total import of non oil and gas (US$78.8 billion).
Import of aircraft and its spare-parts also dropped 73.65% to US$41 million in August 2015 from US$155.6 million in July 2015. For January-August 2015 period, the import of this category rose 23.37% to US$468.7 million from US$379.9 million in the same period of 2014.
