JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Shares of retailers were mixed Wednesday (July 24) with ACE Hardware gaining 5.6%, while Erajaya (Erafone) fell sharply by 6.8%.

ACE Hardware and Erajaya were among retail stocks with substantial trading volume. More than 26 million ACES shares and 10 million ERAA shares were exchanged hands.

ACE Hardware plans to officially start operation of two new outlets in Java Friday (July 26). As a result, ACES will have 85 outlets in operation.

Matahari Putra Prima (MPPA), which was also traded heavily, slipped 0.95%, while Fast Food Indonesia (operator of KFC outlets) slipped 2.94% on thin trading volume.

Matahari Department Stores (LPPF) retreated 1.57% on profit taking, while ICT retailer Tiphone Mobile (TELE) lost 3.51%.
