PARIS (Yosefardi) – EOS imaging, the pioneer in orthopaedic 2D/3D imaging, on Wednesday (May 22) announced its expansion in Asia, including multiple new regional distribution agreements and the recruitment of a Regional Sales Manager, who will be based in a new Singapore office.
Marie Meynadier, CEO of EOS imaging, said, “This is an important growth milestone for the Company, as EOS now has reach into a significant portion of the imaging market in Asia. To date, we have completed distribution agreements, training and first hospital visits with partners covering eight Asian countries totalling 26% of the worldwide market for medical imaging1. We will be devoting increasing attention and resources to our efforts in Asia as we look to capitalize on the rising demand for our technology in this area.”
Asia is a growing market in medical imaging, representing an estimated 41% of the worldwide market1 with a strong demand for advanced imaging modalities fueled by infrastructure investments by regional governments1. EOS recently established new distribution agreements in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. These are in addition to its existing agreements in Hong Kong and Singapore, where the first EOS® Imaging System in Asia was installed in September 2012. EOS imaging has also appointed a Regional Sales Manager and opened an office in Singapore to oversee its growing regional sales network.
The EOS System is the only full body, low dose 3D orthopaedic imaging system and is currently available in 14 countries.
