JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Sutan Bhatoegana, lawmaker from President SBY’s Democratic Party, suspect in corruption case.
Sutan Bhatoegana is currently chairman of House Commission VII, overseeing energy and mining affairs.
Johan Budi SP, spokesperson of KPK, said this is a follow-up of investigation into bribery case implicating Rudi Rubiandini, former chief of SKK Migas.
Sutan is among lawmakers failed to be re-elected in April 9 legislative election from North Sumatra election area.
Rudi told a court hearing that he gave US$200,000 to members of House Commission VII through Sutan Bhatoegana’s colleague.
