JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Supreme Court (MA) has suggested the House of Representatives (DPR) to return the authority of handling the dispute emerging after the local election to the Constitutional Court (MK).
The suggestion was delivered during the consultative meeting between the House Commission II and the Supreme Court.
Deputy Head of the House Commission II Ahmad Riza Patria of Gerindra Party said that the Commission will later discus the Supreme Court’s suggestion with the central government.
The DPR and the central government are discussing on the amendment of newly passed Law No. 1/2015 regarding the Regional Election. One of several crucial revisions being debated is related to resolution mechanism of post-election dispute. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
