JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The House of Representatives (DPR) has passed the revised 2015 budget bill into law in a plenary session Friday (February 13) night after 10 hours of lobby.
Less than 100 lawmakers attended the plenary session, but considered quorum based on the list of attendees in the morning session before the suspension for lobby forum.
The session was chaired by Taufik Kurniawan, deputy speaker of the House, who is also politician from National Mandate Party (PAN).
The revised 2015 Budget is passed into law just hours before official recess time of DPR. The revised budget is the first for Jokowi-Kalla administration.
Under the revised budget, target for State revenues is Rp1761.6 trillion, which implies to budget deficit of Rp222.5 trillion or about 1.9% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Key macroeconomic assumptions for the revised Budget are economic growth of 5.7%, inflation at 5%, rupiah rate of Rp12,500 per USD, oil lifting of 825,000 barrels per day, and gas lifting of 1.22 million barrels oil equivalent per day.
