JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) ended lower by 0.69% to tracking European markets Wednesday (May 29).
Consumer stocks like Coca Coal, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald’s, Pfizer Inc, Procter & Gamble, and Verizon, which lost more than 2% each, dragged down DJIA.
The broader Nasdaq composite and S&P 500 also dropped 0.61% and 0.7% respectively.
Nymex crude oil, meanwhile, fell sharply by 2.24% to US$92.88 per barrel in New York’s afternoon trading. Gold, on the other hand, gained almost 1% to US$1392 per ounce.
