JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has appointed Dino Patti Djalal as new Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs replacing Wardhana, who has been appointed as Indonesian Ambassador to Turkey.

President SBY’s Spokesperson Julian Aldrin Pasha told Kompas.com that as scheduled Dino Patti Djalal will be sworn in today (July 14).

Born in Beograd, Yugoslavia, on Sep. 10, 1965, Dino will likely only serve as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for three months.

Prior to the appointment, Dino was former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States (US) for three years before resigned in November 2013 to participate in the Democratic Party’s presidential primary.

Dino also ever served as President SBY’s Spokesperson during 2004-2009 period. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
