SYDNEY (Yosefardi) – West Wits Mining Ltd claimed its Derewo River gold project in Papua province, Indonesia is getting closer to a trial mining.
Inspection of the airstrip in the area concluded that subject to some minor works, it should ready to start receiving light fixed wing aircraft later this week.
“The excavator will shortly be moved from the airstrip to the 81 creek, where initial trial mining activities are planned,” West Wits said Monday.
The excavator is expected to start operation in the creek this week to prepare site for trial mining activities.
Other than Papua, West Wits also has gold project in South Africa with JORC resources of 287,000 ounces.
