JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indrawati Sukadis, General Treasurer of Democratic Party, revealed that the party’s recent primary costed Rp40 billion.
From the substantial fund, Indrawati stated, the biggest portion was allocated to support media coverage, mostly for airtime on the television program.
Indrawati claimed that most of the funds were sourced from party’s cadres. However, she refused to mention the nominal of contribution from businessmen. “There are invisible sources. We have a source like that everywhere,” Indrawati added.
Democrat party has picked 11 candidates to their primary as party’s president candidate. Some of the candidates were under pressure to resign from their public position such as Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan and BPK Member Ali Masykur Musa.
Those eleventh candidates are as follows;

Sinyo Harry Sarundajang (North Sulawesi Governor and Democratic Party politician)
Pramono Edhie Wibowo (brother in law of President SBY and Democratic Party politician)
Ali Masykur Musa (member of the Supreme Audit Agency/BPK and former PKB politician)
Marzuki Alie (House Speaker and Democratic Party politician)
