JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Syarifuddin Hasan, Executive Chairman of Democratic Party, claims the rumor saying Democratic Party has intervened State-owned television TVRI to broadcast the party’s primary as groundless.
Syariffudin argued TVRI had on its own initiative aired Democratic Party’s primary. “We did not make any instruction (to TVRI) and we have no intention to set TVRI as our media partner,” he said.
Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) plans to summon President Director of TVRI Farhat Syukri Wednesday (Sept 18). Idy Muzzayad, KPI deputy, revealed that Farhat will be questioned for airing the Democrat convention.
On Sept. 15, 2013, TVRI aired a delayed program of Democratic Party convention. However, the program was criticized given that TVRI is a state-owned television. (indrab@yosefardi.biz)
