JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President SBY’s Democratic Party will officially introduce to public 11 participants of its primary Sunday (September 15) night in Jakarta.
About 1,000 invitees are expected to attend the event, where 11 participants would give a five-minute speech each.
Hinca Panjaitan, spokesperson of the primary, said after tonight’s introduction, participants are given until December 2013 to ‘go public’ with their ‘ideas’.
“Late December, we will conduct the first survey, from which we know the approval rating (of each participant),” Hinca is quoted by Kompas.com this morning.
Participants of the ‘idol’ are:
1) Ali Masykur Musa: Member of the Supreme Audit Board
2) Anies Baswedan: Rector of Paramadina University
3) Dahlan Iskan: Minister of State-Owned Enterprises
4) Dino Patti Djalal: Indonesian Ambassador to USA
5) Endriartono Sutarto: Former military commander
6) Gita Wirjawan: Minister of Trade Affairs
7) Irman Gusman: Speaker of the Regional House of Representatives (DPD)
8) Hayono Isman: Lawmaker from Democratic Party
9) Marzuki Alie: House Speaker, lawmaker from Democratic Party
10) Pramono Edhie Wibowo: Former Army Chief of Staff, brother-in-law of SBY
11) Sinyo Harry Sarundajang: Governor of North Sulawesi
