JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) revealed that December 2013 inflation was 0.55%, compared to 0.12% in previous month, resulting in year-on-year inflation of 8.38%.
stapple foods contributed inflation of 0.79% while processed food, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco contributed 0.73% inflation. Housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel contributed 0.44%.
Clothing contributed inflation of 0.17%, health contributed 0.16%, education, recreation, and sport contributed 0.06%, and transportation, communication, financial services were responsible for 0.56% inflation.
Off 66 cities, 61 cities recorded inflation, highest occurred at Manado, and 5 cities recorded deflation, highest at Padang Sidempuan.
