TOKYO (Yosefardi) – The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Ltd declared Friday that it has nothing to announce with respect to reports about acquisition of shares in PT Panin Life, a life insurance company in Indonesia.
“It is not based on information released by the company, and the company has nothing to announce with respect to this topic,” Dai-ichi president Koichiro Watanabe said in a disclosure.
Reuters reported early Friday that Dai-ichi has agreed to buy a 40% stake in Panin Life for about 30 billion yen or around US$295 million.
The report lifted Panin Financial’s share price by 9.26% to Rp295 in Jakarta.
