JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Former Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE’s) Dahlan Iskan has been questioned for eight hours by the investigators from the Attorney General Office (AGO) related to corruption case of the Rp32 billion electricity car project, Wednesday (June 17).
Sarjono Turin from the AGO’s Special Crimes Division told the press that the AGO’s investigators have asked 32 questions to Dahlan. Dahlan himself was reluctant to give any comment after finishing the questioning session.
The AGO has earlier named two suspects in this case, Agus Suherman (former staff of Dahlan Iskan at the SOE’s Ministry) and Dasep Ahmadi (engineer from the respected Bandung Institute of Technology/ITB and Director at PT Sarimas Ahmadi Pratama–a company appointed to handle the electricity car project).
Agus, according to the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Widyo Pramono, ordered three state companies (BRI, Pertamina, and PGN) to financing the electricity car project as well as appointing PT Sarimas to handle the project based on Dahlan’s command.
Dahlan served as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises from October 2011 to October 2014 under the administration of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). He has been named as a graft suspect in a separate case related to electricity station of Java-Bali-West Nusa Tenggara. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
