JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Plantation shares end mixed Wednesday (June 5th) even though the benchmark crude palm oil (CPO) contracts for August 2013 ended higher by RM26 to RM2401 per ton.
CPO for September and October 2013 deliveries also gained RM24 and RM21 to RM2400 and 2395 per ton respectively on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.
In Jakarta, Astra Agro Lestari and PP London Sumatra gained 3.76% and 2.11% respectively, while Bakrie Sumatra Plantations collapsed 6%. Sampoerna Agro inched up 0.53%, but Tunas Baru Lampung and BW Plantation down 1.96% and 1% respectively.
In Singapore, Wilmar International lost 1.23%, while Golden Agri-Resources down 1.74%. First Resources also lost 0.81%, while Indofood Agri and Bumitama down 0.49% each.
