JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Maria Farida Indarti and Anwar Usman, two Justices of the Constitutional Court, were Tuesday (Feb 25) re-examined by investigators of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to the investigation into bribery case of the handling of Lebak regency post-election dispute.
Maria and Anwar were firstly questioned by KPK investigators on October 16, 2013.
This morning, both Maria and Anwar were asked to deliver a brief statement as witnesses for Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, a key leader from Golkar Party and one of suspects in the case.
KPK also summoned the court’s registrar Kasianur Sidauruk for a questioning this morning.
As reported earlier, both Maria and Usman are members of panel of judges when the disgraced Akil Mochtar, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court and one of suspects in the case, led the Constitutional Court trial over the disputed Lebak regency and Gunung Mas regency elections.
Both Maria and Anwar, however, denied allegation against them for involving in the bribery scandal. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
