JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investors focused buying shares of coal miners Tuesday following report of 30.4% jump in coal shipment last week.
Newcastle Port, the largest thermal coal exporting terminal in the region, shipped out 4.02 million tons of coal in the week ended February 17, jumped by 30.4% from the previous week.
Bumi Resources jumped 7.57% to close at Rp327 per share with over 89 million shares exchanged hands. The stock had fallen 67% in past one year.
Other coal stocks, Bumi Resources Minerals gained 3.08%, Delta Dunia Makmur climbed 4.85%, and Borneo Lumbung Energy increased 3.87%.
While Adaro Energy lost 2.05%. The stock had gained 47% from its bottom in August last year, but still lost 40% in past one year.
