SYDNEY (Yosefardi) – Cokal Limited reported total coal resources estimate at Bumi Barito Mineral (BBM) metallurgical coal project jumped 340% (threefold) to 261 Mt, from previous estimate.
The total resources comprise of 10.5 Mt measured, 13.5 Mt indicated, and 237 Mt inferred. The resources include open pit and underground potential.
Coal resources were reported to depths up to 500m below topography. The BBM project is located northwest from the township of Puruk Cahu, the capital city of Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan.
BBM was awarded exploration license for 2 years period, covering an area of 19,400 hectares in the Seribu Riam and Sumber Barito District, Central Kalimantan province.
