JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Airliner Citilink Indonesia, subsidiary of flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA), has bagged loan of US$20 million from GIAA, used to fund its expansion in 2015.
Albert Burhan, president and CEO of Citilink, said in a press statement that Citilink intends to dominate domestic flights and add regional routes.
Citilink plans to add 5 Airbush A320 units of aircraft in first half of 2015, to boost its flight frequency by 30%, from current 182 flights per day.
Citilink targets to carry 11 million passengers next year, a 34.14% growth compared to 8.2 million passengers carried during this year. In 2016, Citilink targets to reach 16 million passengers and 20 million by 2018.
By end of this year, Citilink’s fleet is targeted to reach 32 units of aircraft and to serve 39 routes in 23 cities across the country. As at September 2014, Citilink’s on time performance (OTP) reached 82.4%.
