HONG KONG (Yosefardi) – China Resources Cement Holdings Ltd, one of the largest cement producers in China, booked net profit of HK$1.14 billion in the first half ended June 30, 2013, jumped by 80.4% from the same period of 2012.

The company recorded sales revenue of HK$12.86 billion in the period, increased by 16.5% from the corresponding period of 2012.

China Resources Cement sold 30.3 million tons of cement in the first half of 2013, an increase of 32% from the corresponding period of 2012.

Cement demand continued to grow in the first half of 2013. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the total cement production reached 1.1 billion tons, representing an increase of 9.7% over the corresponding period last year.

There were 32 new clinker production lines, which increased clinker production capacity of 38.8 million tons in the first half of 2013 and represented a decrease of 53.2% over the corresponding period last year.
