JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Leading agro-food producer PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) reported net profit of Rp1.53 trillion in first half of this year, declined 9.6% from Rp1.69 trillion in the same period of last year.
Net sales increased to Rp11.98 trillion from previous Rp10.24 trillion while cost of goods sold rose to Rp9.49 trillion from Rp7.56 trillion a year earlier.
Selling expense and general & administration expenses also icreased 12% and 8.9% respectively.
CPIN’s assets totaled Rp13.78 trillion while liability amounted Rp4.83 trillion.
Meanwhile, its peer PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) reported a 19% drop in net profit for the first half of this year as cost of goods solds jumped 25%.
JPFA booked net profit of Rp519.9 billion on net sales of Rp10.3 trillion, a 22% rise. Animal feed sales totaled Rp4.74 trillion while breeding sales reached Rp3.25 trillion. Its assets totaled Rp12.35 trillion while liability amounted Rp7.25 trillion.
While PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk (MAIN) reported net profit of Rp176.41 billion in first half of this year, declined 4.3% from Rp184.16 billion as cost increased. Net sales rose 21% to Rp1.99 trillion from previous Rp1.65 trillion. Its assets totaled Rp2.03 trillion while liability amounted Rp1.23 trillion.
