LONDON (Yosefardi) – Shares of Bumi Plc, owner of 29% shares in Bumi Resources (BUMI) and 85% shares in Berau Coal Energy (BRAU), fell sharply by 5% in London Stock Exchange (LSE) Tuesday (October 15).
The stock ended at 202 pence after trading as high as 215 pence on thin trading volume with only less than 70,000 shares exchanged hands.
Bumi Plc collapsed from as high as 450 pence early this year and 1400 pence at its all time high in early 2011.
Bumi Plc is in the process of separating Bumi Resources from the company to focus on BRAU. Bakrie Group and Samin Tan’s Borneo Lumbung Energi (BORN) are majority shareholders of Bumi Plc, but Bakrie is scheduled to leave the company this year.
