JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Bumi Resources (BUMI), the largest coal producer in Indonesia, gained 8.97% to Rp316 Tuesday (Jan 7th) while peers end mostly lower ground.
More than 70 million BUMI shares were exchanged hands. The debt-ridden company, however, has dropped significantly from Rp1040 in February 2013.
Other coal producers end lower ground, led by Adaro Energy, which lost 5.4% with almost 160 million shares exchanged hands. Harum Energy lost 4.7%, while Indo Tambangraya down 3.8%.
Indika, ABM Investama, and Bukit Asam also lost ground, while Borneo Lumbung and Berau Coal gained 1.2% and 2.1% respectively.
