JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Ari Hudaya, president director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), claimed Nathaniel Rothschild as not a good shareholder of Bumi Plc as he told to media about the investigative audit on BUMI without knowledge of Bumi Plc‘s management.
Bumi Plc announced on its website on 24 September 2012 that it has become aware of allegations concerning, among other matters, potential financial and other irregularities in the company’s Indonesian operations, especially in relation to PT Bumi Resources Tbk, in which the company has approximately a 29 per cent interest.
Bumi plc also announced that Ari Hudaya, a Non-Executive Director of the company, has resigned from the board of the company.
“The problem of shareholders (Bakrie, Samin Tan and Nathaniel Rothschild). I tell you, that shareholder destroy its own share? Are they going to destroy their own company? Are they good shareholders?” Ari was quoted by Detikfinance.com as saying on press briefing on Tuesday (Oct 2).
“Whether the statement of Bumi Plc aims to push share price down? please judge by yourself. If there would be such an interest (one party might intend to takeover BUMI), I will chase…”
