JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) is optimistic to raise Rp1.7 trillion from issuing 2.65 billion new shares, representing 25% of its enlarged capital.
The new shares are priced at Rp670-700 per unit. The proceed will be used to strengthen the bank’s capital adequacy ratio (CAR) and to support expansion.
As of September 2013, the bank’s CAR reached 15%, to increase to 17% after rights issue. BBKP targets its loan to grow by 16-17% in 2014.
Media earlier reported PT Bosowa Corporindo will inject Rp300-350 billion fund to Bank Bukopin through buying new shares issued by the bank. Bosowa had in June 2013 acquired 14% Bukopin shares which valued for Rp1.17 trillion.
