JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State coal producer PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), through its unit PT Bukit Multi Investama, plans to acquire a company engaging in gold mining services before end of this year, Investor Daily reported this morning.
Bukit Multi Investama had recently acquired PT Bumi Sawindo Permai at price of Rp861.3 billion. Bumi Sawindo has 8,346 ha palm plantation area in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra.
PTBA allocates capital expenditure (capex) of Rp2.5 trillion for next year, mainly used to fund its business expansion and investment projects such as independent power producer (IPP).
PTBA booked net profit of Rp1.58 trillion in first nine months of 2014 on sales of Rp9.65 trillion. It produced 12.48 million tons of coal during the period while its average coal price grew by 19% to Rp728,079 per ton.
