JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Three more witnesses for graft suspect Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan did not respond the summon of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for questioning on Tuesday (Jan. 20).
They are Insp. Gen. Andayono (Chief of the East Kalimantan Police), Comr. Sumardji (Deputy Chief of the Jombang regional Police), and Brig. Gen. (ret) Heru Purwanto.
Previously, KPK also summoned three other police officers as witnesses for questioning on Monday (Jan 19). They were Brig. Gen. Herry Prastowo (Director of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim) for General Crimes), Sr. Comr. Ibnu Isticha (a lecturer at the Institute of National Police Science (STIK), and Insp. Gen. Syahtria Sitepu (a Police Education Institute professor). But only Syahtria Sitepu showed up.
KPK Deputy Chief Bambang Widjojanto said KPK will for second time send summon to those police officers. If they failed to respond the summon for the third times, then KPK will send letter to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Coordinating Minister for Politics & Law Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno.
