JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Sutan Bhatoegana, graft suspect and politician from SBY’s Democratic Party, is set to file a pre-trial petition against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) following the success story of Police Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan.
Bhatoegana even hired Razman Arif Nasution, a lawyer who helped Budi Gunawan in winning the pre-trial petition against the KPK at the South Jakarta District Court ten days ago.
Bhatoegana has been detained by KPK since early this month after being named as a graft suspect last year.
As reported earlier, the South Jakarta District Court ruled KPK’s decision to name Budi Gunawan as a graft suspect is baseless and illegitimate.
Apart from Bhatoegana, three other graft suspects have already filed a pre-trial petition against KPK. They were Suryadharma Ali, Fuad Amin Imron, Raijua Marthen Dira Tome. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
